Boy just got the MH back home after replacing the camera, putting in a
new Signal Amplifier for the TV and repairing the Motor AC and doing a
Lube and Oil Filter thing and now I get a Code 2 on my Norcold Fridge.
Not sure if anything is wrong as the Fridge was cold in both upper and
lower area. Changed it over to gas and no error code. Will let it run
the night and see how it works tomorrow.

Wouldn't you know it, just before a trip. Was taking off Wednesday for
a week, oh well if it will run on LP then I can still go. I sent an
inquiry to Norcold, hopefully they might answer prior to my departure!

Happy Trails all

Hi,
You don't say what model you have. But the fault codes should be in
the owners manual. If you don't have the owners manual you can go
here and download the manual for your model.
http://www.thetford.com/cda/public2.cfm?MainCategoryID=2

For example. The model I have uses letters no numbers. A model 900
uses letters and numbers and a number A2 two code means that the gas
burner did not ignite when it should have. Gas not on, air in the gas
line, low voltage are some of the things that could cause this. A C2
code is more serious and means a fault within the refrigerator
controls and to get in touch with your service dealer.

Hope this helps. Take care and Happy Campin...

Hi RichA

Yep did not put that in, but mine is the Norcold M-982IM and did
have a fault of C2 code, which means I will have to take it in to the
shop I guess. Not sure as this is the first time it came up. But it
does run on gas and according to the book it says run it for 8 hours
then switch back and if it reverts again to the C2 code then bring it in
to the shop. But it was cold inside while having the C2 code so it must
just be a fault in the control. Also it does run on gas with no problem
so I will use it for this trip then into the shop.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like everything is happening at once
though! I did check it out in the manual also.

Our Norcold is acting up, I described it awhile ago, but I'm
not doing anything about it yet. Stupid thing switches from
electric to gas when the outside temp drops much below 40 or
so. After the outside temp goes back up, I can switch the
fridge off for a couple of minutes, turn it back on and
it'll go right to electric.

Hi Hugh

If it wasn't that I just got in back and had spent all that money on it
I would not be so bothered but after $1k and now something else it is
frustrating? Oh well as long as it does not keep me out of the woods
for a week or so. I just like those woods and the quiet. Even Renate
like it, fact is she is the one who likes the camping. With the dog and
the woods we have it all.

Hey if it is like that with you maybe it might just work out after
bouncing around for 300 miles. Plus it was cold this morning also. The
manual says to switch to other fuel for 8 hours and then retry it. I
did not wait 8 though! We shall see. It was cold even though that damn
alarm came on, and it works on LP so I am sure it can wait a week or two.

You and Viola enjoying your time? Have fun!

Sure are. We attend church Sunday morning at 8:30am, Hymn
Sing at 6:30pm and Euchre at 7:30pm. Then Tuesday night is
Court Whist at 7:30pm. Had week long fund raisers for Lake
County Hospice, raised over $30,000. Had fund raisers for
the guy who has pancreatic cancer, raised around $6/7,000.
This week is fund raisers for Green Isle Childrens Ranch,
expect to raise around $15,000 more or less.

Am going biking with friend from New Hampshire soon, he had
to have his bike seat shipped from home. He forgot it. Met a
guy who has a boat, motor and trailer here, he's over at the
Bee's across the road. Been fishing with him a few times.
Viola is busy, busy, busy. We have the same site as last
year. Park is getting pretty full. Pool has been fairly warm
and the hot tub has been fairly hot. Have met lots of new
people this year, great bunch here.

Daughter and fambly are coming down next month for a week in
one of the villas. Expect to "kill" some bass with Dave.
Bass have been hitting pretty good so far. Need to find a
source of plastic worms like those I have. For some reason
this year they're hitting 4" black ones. They're the ones
with the cut tails.

In other words, we'se havin' a blast <vbg>.

Hi,
Hopefully it clears itself up for you. I know the feeling about
getting ready to do something then having everything seemingly go
haywire. Good luck.

Take care and Happy Campin...

Hey RichA

We hope so also. After about 300 miles of bouncing maybe it will if
not back to the shop. You have a great week!
