Any thoughts out here about whether this electronic stability control I'm
hearing about would help any on a tow vehicle with a TT? Might it make
towing control better, worse, or no difference?

Why don't you tell us what control you are talking about UNLESS you
are associated with the product any way except a potential buyer. In
other words, not spamming this group.

I've seen on TV/heard on radio lately about how good this electronic
stability control is on SUVs, cars, etc. So it got me to thinking about if
one had a tow vehicle with this, how it might interact with a travel
trailer. And my sense is that this is OEM equipment only (like antilock
brakes)so one cannot get this as an aftermarket add on so trust me...I'm
selling anything...only curious about what people think.

The control system will work IF they don't now make the SUVs higher and more
unstable. If they use it to build a two story pickup-truck-based Hummer,
then, no, it won't help. It does appear likely that the system will be in
all vehicles before long.

My understanding is that Electronic Stability Control keeps you from
over-correcting. The best way to avoid over-correcting is to pay attention
and not get in a situation that warrants a quick, erratic correction in the
first place..

Will it help with an RV TV? Sure...if you fall asleep at the wheel and lose
control in the first place. Let's not test this theory...K? Or if you find
yourself being pulled by the air dam of a big rig...maybe...in the right
situation. I've never been in that situation as I get ready for the air dam
everytime I pass or am passed by a big rig. Preperation is the key here.

Actually, switching to a fifth wheel is the key to solving that problem.
I don't even feel trucks passing us now.

Maybe that's why I don't feel anything. I thought it was me. More likely
my equipment. That's what my wife keeps telling me.

Or the right front tire falls off the car in the lane to your left. I'm
having a hard time understanding how I could control that, or the box as I
try to regain control after being sideswiped.

While controlling the things you can, accidents are most often caused by
things well outside of a drivers span of control.

I've had that very thing happen to me...I was driving a truck without
stability control. I managed the maneuver perfectly.

Our Buick has some stability something or other. My understanding is that
it has to do with driving on slippery surfaces and uses the ABS braking
system, under computer control, to restore/achieve straight tracking even
when the brakes haven't been applied. I think Electronic Stability Control
is probably something similar.
